Prawn Chow Mein Stir Fry Recipe (Chinese Style Cooking Recipe)
Welcome to Xiao’s Kitchen. My name is Xiao Wei, ever since my Mother taught me how to cook at an early age, I have always had a strong passion for Cooking. My family still live in Inner Mongolia in the northern part of China, where I visit each year and pick-up new Asian/Chinese recipes.
Ingredients:
100g Egg Noodles
100g Raw Prawns
1 Green Pepper
3 Cloves Garlic
5g Ginger
1 small Onion
1 Tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
1 Tsp Sesame Oil
50ml of Vegetable Or Chicken Stock
Salt To Taste
Method:
1. Finely chop the garlic and ginger
2. Thinly slice the pepper and onion
3. Boil 800ml of water in saucepan
4. Place noodles into the saucepan and boil for 3 minutes, remove and drain
5. Heat 1 Tsp of oil in the wok
6. Add the prawns to the hot oil and fry for 2 minutes, remove onto a dish for later
7. Heat 1 Tbsp oil in the same wok, add garlic and ginger, fry for a few seconds
8. Add the onion and pepper, stir fry for a minute
9. Add the noodles, soy sauce, sesame oil, oyster sauce and stock, stir-fry for 2 minutes
10. Add the prawns and cook for a minute
11. Add salt and stir
12. Transfer to a dish and serve
