*Note: Some restaurants use basmati rice as it falls into individual grains, jasmine rice can be used for a more authentic fried rice

How To Make Fried Rice
2 cups basmati rice or 4 cups cooked rice
2 eggs + salt/pepper
2 ham steaks, finely cubed
1 handful chopped shallots
1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, corn, carrots)
3 tbsp peanut oil
3 tbsp soy sauce
any meat/seafood combinations may be added in .
Deeeeelicious 😋
So nice to meet you! your video is so amazing and also fascinating. I appreciate that you have much effort to make it. May God bless you and be happy always.
Never trust fried rice. It could be all the left over rice customers left on the table and it a day or two old. What you think? Don't waste food? Hahahahaha

I love this food can i help you share your video? or can i post it for you?
Uncle Roger would disapprove of that colander.
None for me thanks
For easier mixing of the eggs, use two forks.
That'snot shallotts,that's spring onions.
Looks so delicious! thanks for sharing.

What is the brown stuff you added
Any recommendations for the soy sauce ?
Hi, nice recipe. Thanks. What's a good alternative to peanut oil? Love from Scotland, X.
I guess you could not find ant shallots and had to use gree (spring) onions instead?
One tip. Wash all rice before cooking to release the starch. That is why the water was white! Otherwise love it.
Yum. 🤤 Subscribed.
Fantastic recipe, were the veggies frozen or canned?
Yum !!!
MY GUY U CANT BE SERIOUS😨
Tip: for the eggs, there’s no need to cut them out of the pan- just scramble them in pan, move it around and spectate them by chopping them to pieces with your spatula or spoon before the egg is fully set 🙂
step 1: CUT A CHICKENS NECK OFF
Amazing looking fried rice. It looks easy to make but I know it takes experience to achieve. Love it.
Looks kind of nice, but I REEALLYYY want to know what Uncle Roger thinks about this @mrnigelng ???

Where is uncle Roger?
always order it at restaurant, better learn how to cooke it! GRACIAS THANK YOU XIE XIE!!!
Always wanted to try this!
You have no idea how to cook rice! And fried rice is never made with just cooked rice. It uses properly cooked day old rice refrigerated overight. Chinese cooks rarely use black pepper. Try white. Your egg is overcooked; they are not shallots and frozen mixed vegetable isn't even available in most of China. China uses fresh.
Too much soy sauce; most cooks in China don't even use soy sauce at all.
Serve that in China and you'll be deported!
You can fry rice in whatever ways you want, just don't call it Chinese when it's not.
Where is the salt buddy…?
I like to start with day old (cold) rice. Never like frozen pea and carrot…horrible. I see that at take out restaurant, I know I'm in for bad food!

Looks good. I have made fried rice on my own, but I added garlic and grated ginger root, so much more flavor. I've never understood why people say fried rice isn't healthy. Now seeing how much oil was used here, maybe that's why? I used much less. Regardless, now I feel like making this today.
as an asian… this is not how you make fried rice, you dont use a colander after boiling ya rice… wtf
I am learning well from you. Good one.
Fried rice is so gud and looks amazing
Thank you ❤❤❤
