Crabstick Egg Drop Soup Easy Recipe To Make For Chinese New Year #cny #homecooked



This is probably one of the easiest and fastest soup anyone can make! And it is very tasty too 😋. Here is how I made it –

Ingredients
Water 900 – 920ml
Potato Starch, 1 tbsp + Water, 2 tbsp
(Can use corn starch if no potato starch)
Mixed vegetables, 105g
Crabstick, 10 pieces hand shredded
Eggs, 2
Unsalted Chicken Powder, 1 tsp
Pepper, few dashes
Salt to taste (I used 1 tsp)

1) Boil a pot of water. Add mixed vegetables and boil for around 10mins or till vegetables have softened.

2) Prepare Slurry. Mix Potato / Corn Starch with water.

3) Make sure the slurry is well-mixed. Gradually add the slurry into the water after the vegetables have boiled for 10mins. Stir the soup well while adding the slurry.

4) Gradually add in two beaten eggs and stir well while adding the eggs.

5) Season the soup with chicken powder (I used homemade unsalted version), pepper and salt to taste.

6) Add in the hand shredded crabstick and mix well into the soup.
