Chinese (Pork) Meatloaf Recipe (Asian Style Cooking Recipe)

Welcome to my Asian kitchen. My name is Xiao Wei and my goal is to make your cooking simple and exciting. Ever since my Mother showed me how to cook at an early age, I have always had a strong passion for cooking. My family still live in Inner Mongolia in the northern part of China, where I visit each year and learn new Chinese recipes.

Serve this with your sandwich, or as cold meat with your salads.

600g Lean Mince Pork
40g Cornflour
40g Plain Flour
1 Egg
4g Salt
4 Spring Onions
360ml Water
30ml Light Soy Sauce
20g Sugar
10g Ginger
4g Red Food Colouring

1. Chop the spring onions and ginger very finely
2. Break the egg in a large mixing bowl and beat
3. Add the cornflour, plain flour and water. Mix till smooth
4. Add the mince pork into the bowl and mix well
5. Add the spring onion and ginger, soy sauce, sugar, salt and food colouring
6. Stir all ingredients clockwise, ensure the mixture appeared smooth and well mixed
7. Smear oil all around the bread tin and fill up with the meat mixture
8. Press down to remove air bubbles in the mixture
9. Place foil or a plate over to avoid any water getting into the meat
10. Then place in a steamer and steam for 25 to 30 minutes
11. Remove from steamer and leave to cool for 5 minutes
12. Turn the tin and plate upside down so the meat is now on the plate and leave to cool down completely
13. Finally, slice and serve
