Chilli Gobi recipe | Indo-Chinese Cuisine | Restaurant Style | Indian Street Food

Chilli Gobi is a spicy starters, one of the most popular Indian street food to be offered from the indo chinese cuisine palette. The recipe for chilli gobi is very simple and with very less ingredients.

INGREDIENTS

FOR FRYING GOBI:
400gm boiled cauliflower (gobi)
1 tbsp Corn Flour
¼ tsp Pepper Powder
¼ tsp Tumeric Powder
1 pinch Salt
1 tsp oil for shallow fry

OTHER INGREDIENTS:
1 tsp Oil
2 tbsp Corn Flour
1 Green Chilli
1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
2 Onions (Diced)
¼ red capsicum, diced
¼ green capsicum, diced
¼ yellow capsicum, diced
200gm Cabbage
1 tsp Schezwan Sauce
1 tsp Vinegar
1 tbsp tomato Ketchup
1 tsp soya sauce
salt to taste
1 tsp corn flour
2 tbsp water
¼ tsp Red Chilli Powder
1 tsp Tomato Puree
¼ tsp Pepper Powder

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Boil Gobi florets with 1 pinch of salt.
2. Coat the strained florets with corn flour, Pepper powder, turmeric powder and shallow fry in hot oil.
3. Stir occasionally and fry on medium flame until it turns golden brown.
4. Add water in corn flour to prepare smooth paste
5. Now heat oil, saute chilli, ginger garlic paste and onion.
6. Also add in capsicum and cabbage. saute till they shrink slightly.
7. Now add in schezwan sauce, vinegar, soya sauce, tomato ketchup and mix well.
8. Add corn flour paste and stir till the corn flour paste turn translucent.
9. Add Red Chilli powder, Tomato puree and cook.
10. Add fried gobi, pepper powder and stir gently.
11. Finally, serve chilli gobi hot as a starter or as a dish for noodles or fried rice.
