3 pounds skinless pork belly or pork shoulder

1. Cutting your pork in to 2 cm thick, it is easy to marinate and bake;
2. Marinate the pork overnight or at least 10 hours;
3. Adding some corn flour after marinating, is a traditional way to make char siu, which will lock the juice inside the meat and create a shining flavorful glaze

Enjoy 🙂 .

What do you think?

  1. Omg I can’t get over how cute she is!!! I can’t wait to try all these recipes.

  2. I just cant believe a piece of pork can become so good. I used pork shoulder since pork belly is not available in my area.

  3. I seldom come across cooking videos which make me both laugh and slaver. You are a bit of something amazing. You should be cloned. Thank you for sharing your beautiful knowlege and experience. I especially appreciated your videos on dumplings. I love that you provided a recipe which meant something personally to you rather that continually churning out the americanised fast-food types. Its definately time that they/I branch out and try new flavours. Keep being beautiful! It enriches the world around you. 🙂

  4. How long did you cook it for?
    Also what temperature do you cook it at? Looks delicious

  5. Pork is sitting in its marinade in the fridge. Marinade already tastes legit.
    Question: can i use the airfryer instead? Wat would i hv to watch out for?

  6. Foodgasm, well that's time first I've heard that expression, guess I've been isolated too long.

  7. Trying today! Oh no. Red yeast rice pdr? Bean that same as broad bean curd? Can substitute? I found bean curb cubes in oil i think but the yeast pack i think is yeast for baking ?

  8. Besides the color, what does red yeast rice do for flavor? And is it necessary? Is there a substitute?

  9. I make this with calf meat with its fat ☝🏽much healthier than pork ☝🏽
    Not everybody eats pork
    So I make it halal 👍🏽

  10. Thank you for your YouTube channel. I find your videos interesting and relaxing. I love how easy and delicious the recipes are. But I am not surprised. Good food comes from simple good ingredients. Stay safe. Peace and love. ♥♥♥

  11. The girl needs better light, but her products and knowledge are first class. I wish her well

  12. Cooked this for family of 3 using 11/4lb of belly pork. Served with Basmati rice and braised red cabbage. Totally beautiful! Many thanks.

  13. You are fantastic!!!
    Natural beautiful show that is easy to follow
    I look forward to more recipes
    Thank you!!!

  14. THANK YOU! I couldn't make it exactly because I didn't have everything. I didn't have red rice powder, and I used miso paste instead of the bean curd. But it was still completely amazing. 100% would keep making on a very regular basis.

  15. I couldn't find soy bean curd and red yeast so I omitted them and it seems like my sauce is quite a bit thinner, i.e. i could not brush it on. In the oven right now so can't wait to taste it.
