Here is the Ingredients amount

For the Char Siu Sauce:

4 tbsp of honey
2 tbsp of light soy sauce [Kimlan light Soy Sauce:https://amzn.to/2KS8wOE]
1 tbsp of Chinese cooking wine [Shaohsing Rice Cooking Wine: https://amzn.to/2RW4KWG]
1 tbsp garlic chili sauce
1 tbsp of oyster sauce [Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand oyster sauce: https://amzn.to/2B7KLis]
1 tbsp of hoisin sauce [Lee Kum Kee hoisin sauce: https://amzn.to/2zaGfy6]
1/2 tsp of five spices [Amazon link: https://amzn.to/2QNJ1n3]
2 tsp of dark soy sauce (color option)
1 pieces of chinese soy bean curb (color option) [Amazon Link: https://amzn.to/2QwzlOB]
1 tsp of red yeast rice powder (color option) [Amazon Link: https://amzn.to/36XLZcH]

Simply mix them. There are many variations to this famous Chinese barbecue sauce, so if it’s not perfect for you, adjust!

Meat:

3 pounds skinless pork belly or pork shoulder

Tips:

1. Cutting your pork in to 2 cm thick, it is easy to marinate and bake;
2. Marinate the pork overnight or at least 10 hours;
3. Adding some corn flour after marinating, is a traditional way to make char siu, which will lock the juice inside the meat and create a shining flavorful glaze

  5. Pork is sitting in its marinade in the fridge. Marinade already tastes legit.
    Question: can i use the airfryer instead? Wat would i hv to watch out for?

  7. Trying today! Oh no. Red yeast rice pdr? Bean curd..is that same as broad bean curd? Can substitute? I found bean curb cubes in oil i think but the yeast pack i think is yeast for baking ?

  14. THANK YOU! I couldn't make it exactly because I didn't have everything. I didn't have red rice powder, and I used miso paste instead of the bean curd. But it was still completely amazing. 100% would keep making on a very regular basis.

  15. I couldn't find soy bean curd and red yeast so I omitted them and it seems like my sauce is quite a bit thinner, i.e. i could not brush it on. In the oven right now so can't wait to taste it.
