Carrot Dumplings (recipe)

An elegant vegetarian dumpling that uses carrots, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, and eggs to create a fresh, moist, and rich filling. Recipe ➡︎

45 dumpling wrappers
2 teaspoons potato starch (or cornstarch)
450 grams (1 pound) carrots, coarsely chopped
1 cup dried shiitake mushrooms, rehydrated
4 cloves garlic
2 slices ginger
3 tablespoons sesame oil (or vegetable oil)
3 large eggs, beaten
1 cup bamboo shoots, minced
1/4 teaspoon white pepper powder
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons Chinese black vinegar
2 teaspoons light soy sauce
(Optional) 2 teaspoon homemade chili oil (or sriracha sauce)

  5. Hi Maggie, I am a lover of Chinese Dumplings and of course as soon as this came up from you, I had to see it. Well all was fine until You started on the Eggs, And I had not seen the recipe as yet, so I kept going back to that point to see if you had inserted the typing at the top, Like with the other items used. Fortunately I was able to pause the video and just clear enough to count how many eggs. Which I sa was 3. You had put it in the recipe which confirmed my suspicions. Thank you for the video, I could add a few more points but I am being to critical. I am sure going to try this one. Thanks again. .
