In this video I tried one of the top rated All You Can Eat (AYCE) Japanese Shabu Shabu Hotpot place in Shanghai, China.

The restaurant ia called “Mo-Mo Paradise”. They are known for their Japanese style Shabu Shabu hot pot buffet but they also offer a lot of Chinese hot pot items.

I picked 2 brothes: traditional shabu shabu broth that is sweet and savoy and spicy tomato soup base that’s spicy and tomatoy. Both soup bases were pretty good.

Of course I went there for the meat, beef to be specific. The meat choices were a bit limited. they have beef tongue, beef belly, beef shoulder, pork, lamb, and chicken drumstick. Luckily the meat quality was quite good.

I especially enjoyed beef shoulder and beef tongue. Beef tongues had really nice marbling and its bouncy and meaty. Beef shoulder is normally a tougher cut as steak, but when sliced thin, this cut of beef is meaty, slightly chewy, but soft and tender. I really love it.

I also sampled a bunch of hotpot items as fish ball, tofu skin, bamboo, and fish tofu. All fairly good quality.

For desserts, the ice creams were refreshing but not creamy enough. The strawberry jello was good, but the best dessert was cream brulee. Creamy eggy with a crunchy flamed sugar top, very nice.

Overall it was a very satisfying experience and I really enjoyed it.
